Privacy statement

Storing of access-data

By any access to a website of the online-presence of the law firm Balance Projektmanagement und Consulting GmbH  Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater and at any demand of data files, log-in data of that action is being saved in a protocol on our server.

Every set of data consists of:

  • the site from which the file was demanded
  • the name of the file
  • date and time of demand
  • the amount of transferred data
  • status of access (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • a description of the type of the browser used for access
  • the IP-address of the client

The saved data are solely evaluated for statistical purposes. The data will not be given to a third party, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

In case that within website personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) can be entered, the disclosure of such data on the part of the user is explicitly voluntary. These data will also be treated confidentially and will not be provided to third parties. Also, there will be no conjunction with the above-mentioned log-in-data.

Users have the right to obtain information about the saved personal data free of charge. Furthermore, they have the right of correction, locking, and deletion of those personal data as provided by law.

Cookies

Cookies are small text-data-sets which are transferred from the internet to your computer along with the actually demanded data. The cookies are saved on your computer and are kept ready for a later demand.

We are using cookies on some parts of our homepage. Also, there may be cookies used by linked external websites without us having the possibility to inform you in advance.

Especially during the log-in-process, the use of so called session-cookies is required because we are using a single-sign-on concept for the purposes of an easier authentification process and access control.

This comprises the establishment of a session between the client and the server, which allows you to view our whole website without having to sign- up again for every section.

That session is being simulated by a cookie, in which a randomly generated number is saved. Further, your log-in information (username, access rights, validity of the session) are saved in another cookie for access-control. You can imagine this as replacement log-in information. Instead of demanding another entry of log-in information from you, the cookie is sent to the server and is accepted as proof of identity.

Validity

The validity of both cookies is limited to the duration of your visit on our portal. They are deleted automatically by closing your browser. There is no conjunction with personal data. An inference on activities of an user is not possible.

On explicit demand, you have the option of permanently saving your username in a third cookie. This makes the frequent use of our portal more comfortable, because your username will be already filled into the sign-up form and you then will only have to enter your password. We explicitly point out the risks of this option because there is danger of abuse of your log-in data by third parties.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies by their preset settings. You can deactivate the saving of cookies or set your browser so it will inform you when cookies are saved.

Right of appeal

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or competent body if you have a reason to complain. For asserting this right and the two previously stated ones, please get in touch with us via the contact details in this data protection statement.
